Ingredients:
Grated coconut - 1 cup
Fried Bengal Gram dal - 1/2 cup
Green Chillies - 2 nos
Cooking oil - 1 tea spoon
Asafoitida - 1 pinch
Curry leaves - few leaves
Salt to taste
1. Soak the fried bengal gram dal for a few mins.
2. Grind together the grated coconut, soaked dal, and green chillies.
3. You can use 1 onion and 1 tomato and grind too.
4. Transfer it to a bowl and garnish.
5. Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds.
6. Once it crackles add the curry leaves and asafoitida and transfer it to the chutney.
7. Coconut chutney ready. Serve with idli or dosai or adai.
