Capsicum Raita

Ingredients:


Capsicum               -  1 large
Curd                      -  1 cup
Asafoitida              -  1 pinch
Pepper powder     -  1 tea spoon
Ghee                     -  1 tea spoon
Mustard seeds       -  1 tea spoon
Black gram dal       -  1 tea spoon
Salt to taste


1.  Wash and finely chop capsicum.
2.  Heat ghee in a kadai and add mustard seeds and black gram dal.
3.  As soon as the mustard crackles and dal turns golden brown add the finely chopped capsicum.
4.  Also add salt, pepper powder and asafoitida.
5.  Keep stirring continuously till the capsicum is well cooked.
6.  Allow it cool and add it to the curd and mix well.
7.  Capsicum raita ready.  It goes well with parathas and rice.
