Ingredients:
(Curry leaves)
Karuveppalai - 200 gms
Ground nuts - 4 table spoons
Bengal gram dal - 4 table spoons
Black gram dal - 4 table spoons
Pepper - 1 table spoon
Red chilies - 8 - 10 nos
Asafoitida - 1 tea spoon
Cooking oil - 2 table spoons
Salt to taste
1. Pick curry leaves without any sticks, wash and allow it to dry in hot sun, thoroughly.
2. Heat 1 table spoon on oil in a kadai and add groundnuts, bengal gram dal and black gram dal.
3. Stir fry till the dals turn golden brown remove from stove and allow it to cool.
4. Heat the balance oil and add the red chilies and stir fry till the colour changes and add it to the cooling dals.
5. Let the dals and chilies cool.
6. Add the dried curry leaves, salt and asafoitida and grind them together coarsely.
7. Store it airtight container.
8. Serve with hot rice and ghee. Its soothes irritated bowel.
