Ingredients:
Bottlegourd - 100 gms
Green chilies - 2 nos
Grated coconut - 1 table spoon
Ginger - 1/2 inch
Fresh curd - 1 cup
Ghee - 1 tea spoon
Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon
Asafoitida - 1 pinch
Salt to taste
1. Boil 1/2 cup of water, add grated bottlegourd to it, remove from stove and keep covered for 5 mins.
2. Allow it to cool, squeeze the bottle gourd, add grated coconut, ginger, green chilies and coarsely grind it.
3. Add the ground paste to the fresh curd, also add salt and asafoitida.
4. Heat ghee in a kadai add the mustard seeds and add it to the raita once it crackles.
5. Bottlegourd raita ready. Serve with roti/ paratha or rice.
