Carrot Raita

Ingredients:

Carrots              -  2 nos
Curd                  -  1 cup
Green chillies      -  2 nos
Pepper powder  -  1/2 tea spoon
Asafoitida           -  1 pinch
Ghee                  -  1/2 tea spoon
Mustard seeds    -  1 tea spoon
Black gram dal   -  1 tea spoon
Salt to taste

1.  Wash, clean and grate carrots.
2.  Add it to curd along with salt, finely chopped green chillies, pepper powder, asafoitida and salt.
3.  Heat ghee in a kadai and add both mustards and black gram dal.
4.  Once the Mustard crackels and dal turns golden brown add it the the raita mix well.
5.  Carrot raita ready.  Serve with roti or paratha.
