Ginger Raita (Inji Pachchadi)

Inji Pachchadi is a dish which is does not require any stove or cooking and is good for our digestive system.

Ingredients:

Ginger (inji)        -  2 inch long
Green chillies      -  1 nos
Curd                  -  1 cup
Grated coconut  -  1 table spoon
Asafoitida          -  1/2 tea spoon
Salt to taste

For garnishing (optional)
Cooking oil         -  1 tea spoon
Mustard seeds    -  1/2 tea spoon
Black gram dal    -  1/2 tea spoon

1.  Clean peel and wash ginger and finely chop it.
2.  Take the ginger, green chillies and grated coconut in mixer and make it into a fine paste.
3.  Add the ground paste to the curd and also add salt, asafoitida.
4.  Heat oil in a kadai and add the mustard and black gram dal.
5.  Once the mustard crackles and dal turns golden brown add it to the raita. (Garnishing is optional only)
6.  Its goes well with kichidi, roti and dosa.
