Gooseberry raita (Nellikkai Pachchadi)


Ingredients:

Nellikkai(Goose berries)  -  6 - 8 nos
Green chillies                   -  2 nos
Gratted coconut              -  2 table spoons
Curd                               -  1cup
Mustard seeds                -  1 tea spoon
Black gram dal               -  1 tea spoon
Ghee                             -  1 table spoon
Asafoitida                      -  1 pinch

1.  Boil the goose berries.
2.  Remove seeds and grind it along with coconut and green chillies.
3.  Add the ground paste,salt and asafoitida to the curd.
4.  Heat ghee in a kadai and add the mustard seeds and black gram dal.
5.  After the black gram dal turns brown and mustard crackles add it to the curd mixture.
6.  Nellikkai pachadi (Goose berries) ready.
