Dry Chutney for Idli & Dosa(Milagaippodi)

Ingredients:

Bengal gram dal   -  100 gms
Black gram dal    -  100 gms
Red chillies          -  10 - 12 nos
Cooking oil         -  1 table spoon
Sesame seeds     -  50 gms
Asafoitida           -  1 tea spoon (optional)
Salt to taste

1. Heat kadai and add the sesame seeds and stir it till it crackles.(remember oil should not be added)
2.  Remove it from the kadai and allow it to cool/
3.  Heat oil in the kadai and add the 2 dals and red chillies and fry till they turn golden brown.
4.  Remove it from stove and allow it to cool.
5.  Add salt to the fried dal mixture and dry grind it coarsely. 
6.  Now add the sesame seeds and grind further for a few seconds.
7.  Dry chutney powder ready.
8.  It has to be mixed ghee or oil and taken along with idli or dosa or even kichidi.
